Great for beginners!
Bought this kit to build with my son and we were genuinely excited about it. We even printed the 3D shell ahead of time to get everything ready.
We ran into an issue with a damaged board at first, but honestly, the customer support completely changed the experience. The response was fast, personal, and very human, which is rare these
It sparked curiosity, troubleshooting, and some great learning moments at the workbench.
If you’re looking for a hands-on electronics project for beginners (especially kids), this is absolutely worth it. Solid kit, even better support

Fun kit to build
My second amomii kit, and I am just as pleased with this one. They put a lot of thought and care into providing a really good set of instructions to help a novice be successful with their kits. And when you're done, you have something that's actually fun and useful.
Everything in the kit itself is through-hole parts and within reach of completing for even a beginner. Though I have some soldering experience, and a fairly good soldering station and tools, I thought it might be a fun experiment to try assembling this with a 13-in-1 beginners soldering iron kit. I quickly realized that with the small pads on this PCB, I needed to use finer (thinner) solder than came with that kit, and I'd probably do better with a finer tip on my soldering iron. I decided to use my own solder instead, and things went smoothly from there. My point is that even with great instructions, and what seems to be all the right tools, there is a chance for a complete beginner to end up frustrated without a little guidance from someone more experienced.
It's also great that the code package amomii provides includes test programs for every function of the device. It's very easy to determine if a specific part isn't working so you can go back and check you work.
It's a really good kit, and a good value!

Great soldering kit for kids!
If you're starting out with soldering and electronics, this kit is for you. This is a great way to improve your soldering skills because once you get going, it doesn't take long to see how a bad solder job works vs that of a great solder job.

Useful Set of Skills to Learn - Fun Setup and Execution for a Teenager or Beginner
My younger son is 14 and already helping his dad replace PC parts and upgrade our tech at home, from resolving the drift on our video game console controllers, to the noisy fan in his laptop, but something my son ran into is needing soldering skills and expanding his horizons. This kit is solving those problems as he goes through the kit and completes each activity.
The directions and instructions are clear as a bell, and he rarely needs to double check with one of us (we're around and supervising, or he'd solder his name into his forearm or something dumb) to clarify what the intention of the directions mean.
There are many expertly manufacturer components to "play around" with, and we already had a soldering iron and solder to get started right away." He's learning so many facets of different little pieces of tech and I can't wait to see where these sparks of creativity and skill will take him. If you pick up An Arduino Duo for a few dozen bucks, this kit will open up a whole array of awesome learning and teaching moments, for both teacher and student.
