Awesome Arduino piano kit! UPDATED REVIEW!
UPDATED REVIEW: I 3D printed the piano STL files that come as a digital download with this kit. I still haven't soldered the kit, but I'm getting ready to, so I attached some pictures of the 3D printed piano. It took a full day to print all the piano parts (some need support). I've "loosely" assembled the parts, but haven't fully clicked them into place yet without the circuit board inside, because once you snap them together, you won't be able to easily get them apart again. The white keys are "pressable" so you can press the underlying buttons on the circuit board.
Original unedited review, below:
Full caveat, I haven’t had a chance to build this yet, but I’ve built lots of Arduino kits, and also built a very similar project from scratch (my own design). I’ll say this kit is awesome. It’s very well made, includes all the parts seen on the seller’s page, and has very, very good documentation online (40 pages + schematics, etc.). The included one-page instructions are just the tip of the iceberg. On the vendors website you’ll find downloadable sample code, very in-depth instructions of how to assemble and program, as well as STL files so you can 3D print your own piano case (with pressable keys and everything). You need to have your own Arduino UNO, but otherwise this kit has everything.
If you are interested in this, I suggest going to the product’s support website and reading some of the instructions and documentation for yourself to help you decide. This is a pretty highly capable device, with onboard buzzer as well as 3.5mm audio jack and speaker terminals. It can act as a standard “piano” (e.g. press the key, make a sound), or as a sequencer, so you can play back saved tunes (e.g. more like a music box). It has a nice RGB programmable neopixel light strip for some nice ambient lighting. The only real limit here is the relatively small memory in the Arduino. This kit even includes some parts like a light-dependent resistor, so you can program some of your own effects with it (but their sample code doesn’t use it).
When I finally build it and print the parts, I’ll try to update this review with some pictures. So far, this is a very cool kit, and has a lot of nice features and functionality for the very low price, currently just under $25. I’m very impressed. 5 Stars.

Nice Kit, Well Put Together
I enjoy these kits because my skills at soldering kind of stink and I need all the practice I can get. Plus, they're fun.
This kit stands out from the rest though. Many of them arrive in a plastic bag of parts, no instructions. You have to go online to track down instructions, that may be in very poor English. Those instructions may not have good illustrations, leading you to make quite a few mistakes.
Not so here. This came in a nice little package. Everything was well labeled. There was a good set of instructions in the box, plus they had more detailed, online instructions. It goes even further than most kits. This one doesn't have it's own controller, but is waiting for you to plug it into an Arduino Uno or other controller board, which means it's programmable. You can make it do, well, just about anything that presses buttons, lights up and plays a sound can do. Sky is the limit here.
It's probably not a great kit for younger kids, but ~11 and up, if they've got some programming chops, they're going to love it.
Overall, absolutely one of the better kits of this type I've seen. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Outstanding Solder Kit for STEM and Tinkerers
This is the 2nd product I have from amomii and it does not disappoint. I appreciate the polish and care this company puts into their products and support materials- which is super important for electronic components. There's little guesswork needed to tell the parts apart and they even provide a color code chart for the resistors. However, for STEM or anyone wanting to learn about electronics, the resources they provide that describe the components are a great introduction to the intricoes involved with building electronics- particularly how they link to the actual component datasheets. Kudos for this, since accessing datasheets is a vital part of the process for building electronics and great to teach this upfront.
Soldering it all together took a couple hours- but this is not a race. Building stuff is fun and if done right, enjoyable. So the time invested is rewarded with a sense of achievement. One of the best aspects of this is the integration with an arduino. Not only are you building hardware, but can also tinker with C++ code. There's even leeway in the parts and design to DIY a bit and play with the light strip or light sensor.
I also like that they offer the 3D model for the piano case. I'll probably print that out so I can display this on a shelf when not toying with it.

Super cool building project to do with kids to teach soldering and programming
LIKES: good instructions, cool project to work with kids, product description is accurate (what you need to buy in addition to this product). DISLIKES: none to report. HOW USING: I am using this to teach soldering and programming to my nephew. RECOMMENDATION: Yes. This is a pretty cool project to do with an older child to help teach basic soldering and programming.
