Fun start to board creation...
I'm new to soldering and really wanted to learn. This practice pack has helped me learn with a fun way of doing it. It provides quite a few tests that you can perform to see if your skills are developing to functionality. It also sort of shows what you could possibly do with a skill in soldering or electrical work in general.

Leveling up a tinkerer
I got this kit for my kid who already has an Uno smart robot car. He really enjoyed putting it together but is very much a tinkerer. He looked for ways to be able to modify the robot car. He is 15 and wants to be an engineer. He's undecided on electrical or mechanical engineering so what better way to get him some exposure on soldering a kit together. You need to download the additional details from their website. They have an area for a welcome email but the contents of that email is available in the downloads of their website.
I like that they have a Datasheet file that explains what's going on with the circuitry. It gives a good basic understanding of what you are adding. I'd love to see a more advanced document that goes into it a bit more but for an entry level kit, this is pretty good.
Also on their site, they have STL files for creating a 3D printed case for the kit which is pretty awesome.
The components of the kit are great and easy to follow along. The kit gives plenty of room for poor soldering if this is the first time someone is doing it. This is a great kit for that tinkerer to take the next step in their engineering journey.

Great little kit for someone wanting to practice soldering
All of my kids are getting into Arduino and related products, so I ordered this Neon Tennis kit from Amomii. I have another one of their kits and have been very happy with it. The amount of documentation and supporting files is far beyond what most companies offer. You do need to provide an email address or sign up for an account to access that information, but I've had an account for several months and have not been spammed with junk email.
This kit requires the user to solder all of the included components to create a shield that will attach to an Arduino Uno which is the only component not included in the kit. The components are decent quality. My only complaint on the kit is the included pin headers are the standard size, but I wish they were a little longer. To be fair, most shields use the same length pins, but the shield tends to bump into the barrel jack before completely seating in the Uno. It functions, but there can also be a risk of a pin on the underside of the shield shorting against the USB jack.
Other than that minor gripe, I really like Amomii's kits. They are a great exercise to learn and practice soldering electronic components, and the child/adult gets something useful out of it. Don't get me wrong, while this tennis game is kind of cool, don't expect the child to play it much after the first time. It can't compete with phones and video consoles. At least they gained some good experience in the process of building it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to someone looking to get into this hobby.
