A: Uploading issues are a common part of the maker journey, and most are resolved with a few simple configuration steps. The majority of these "errors" are caused by missing drivers, incorrect port selection, or unzipped library files. Please review our guide first; if you're still stuck, our support team is ready to help you get back on track.

Q: I don’t have the password for the eBook. Where can I find it?

A: There are several ways to access your copy of Arduino Code and Hardware Fundamentals:

Check Your Inserts: The password is printed on the blue insert packed with the amomii ONE or on the white insert found inside the main Testudo box.
The Practical Solution: If you follow the steps to receive our Welcome Email, you will be sent a version of the eBook that does not require a password. This is the most convenient way to use the book across all your devices.
Request a Reset: If you still need the password, please email our support team with the subject "eBook password request". Be sure to include your name and order ID, and we will send it to you right away.

Q: Are the projects compatible with the official Arduino UNO?

A: Yes. Whether you are using the amomii ONE included in our kits or you have purchased a standalone shield to use with your own controller, all Testudo shields are fully compatible with official Arduino UNO boards and standard UNO clones. The pinouts and form factors follow the universal Arduino standard.

Q: Are the 3D printed cases required to use the projects?

A: No. The 3D printed cases are purely aesthetic and designed to give your finished projects a "retail" look. All projects (Neon Tennis, IR Hacks, and Mini Grand) are fully functional as standalone soldered boards. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can find the STL files in our downloads section to customize your build.

Q: I made a mistake while soldering; is my project ruined?

A: Usually, no. PCBs are surprisingly durable. Most common issues—like "solder bridges" (two pins joined together) or "cold joints" (not enough heat)—are easily fixed with a soldering iron and some solder wick. Use the following guide for tips on how to desolder components and clean up your board without damaging the circuitry.

Q: If I break a component, can I replace it with a generic one?

A: Yes. We intentionally designed the Testudo Kit using standard, high-quality electronic components (like 5mm LEDs, 6x6mm tactile switches, and 1/4W resistors). If a part is damaged, you can source replacements from most electronics hobby stores. Always refer to the specific Project Datasheet to verify the electrical ratings (voltage, resistance, etc.) before installing a replacement to prevent overheating or damage to your controller.

Q: Can the IR Hacks project be used to clone any remote control?

A: No. IR Hacks is designed specifically for Infrared (IR) technology—the "line-of-sight" light used by most TV and audio remotes. Many modern devices (like Roku, Apple TV, or Game Consoles) use RF (Radio Frequency) or Bluetooth. IR Hacks cannot "see" or clone those signals. If your remote has a small translucent bulb at the front, it’s likely IR-compatible!
